Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Comes to McKinney’s Stonebridge Village

Brazilian jiu-jitsu star Inacio Neto has set up shop in McKinney. The black belt winner of multiple IBJJF national and international championships recently opened a new Gracie Barra gym in Stonebridge Village on the southeast corner of Stonebridge Drive and West Eldorado Parkway. It will offer all levels of training for both kids and adults.

Gracie Barra has over 700 schools across the globe. It was founded by Carlos Gracie Jr., an 8th-degree coral belt Brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioner and instructor.  His family has been called the first family of Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

The new McKinney outpost will be the fourth Grace Barra location in North Texas. It is just the latest business to seek out a prime location in Stonebridge Village. LINC Commercial Realty, is the listing broker for the high-end retail center which includes Stewart Title, Row House Gym, and Cove51 Salon among others.

LINC Founder, Najdi Rafaty, says these businesses are attracted not only to the center’s prime location but also its superior amenities. Gracie Barra fits right in with her long-term vision for the property as a place that serves not just as a business hub, but a true asset for the community

“Gracie Barra is an ideal fit for this property,” she said. “The surrounding area is filled with active families looking for more sports and fitness opportunities. I think they will be very impressed with what Inacio has to offer.”

Neto and his business partner, Hugo Claros plan to offer even more in the near future. Their goal is to open two additional Gracie Barra locations in North Texas.  They are currently working with Rafaty and LINC to identify the most desirable locations. More details on those plans will be announced at a later date.
