Raytheon’s 200,000 SF Expansion Planned for McKinney TX Campus
Defense contractor Raytheon, founded in 1922, is expanding its suburban Dallas campus, adding more than 500 jobs. The expansion is in McKinney, Texas(one of the fastest-growing large metropolitan areas in the country) where the company’s Space and Airborne systems division is headquartered.
“A recently completed research study conducted by The University of North Texas Economic Research Group and commissioned by Raytheon found the company’s business operations in the region contributed $4.8 billion to the state economy. Along with employing more than 8,000 workers in Texas through its supply chain activity and employee spending, Raytheon’s presence supported an additional 10,000 jobs throughout the state.”
Raytheon’s 200,000-square-foot expansion is set to be completed by late 2020. With the Dallas-Fort Worth area being one of the fastest-growing large metropolitan areas in the country, this will only increase the momentum of it’s growth and economy.
